Finding a game that accommodates A LOT of players
Running a tabletop RPG with 6+ players can be a real challenge, especially if you’ve got new players or a lot of kids vying for attention. I made this list so you could find some family friendly tabletop RPGs that work for a big group of kids at something like a birthday party or for a classroom and after school program where one educator is managing groups of 12 or more.
I’m hoping this help parents, teachers, caregivers, and anyone wanting to share tabletop RPGs with a large group, but, with that in mind, I also know that everyone is different. I did my best to sort through the games here and give a little bit of a description for how many they typically accommodate or what kind of group they were made for, but please also review and make sure they fit you and your group’s needs before jumping in. I hope this list gives you an easier time reviewing and picking some options that will work for your particular players without having to search around for answers!
Suggestions for adding to this tabletop RPGs for large groups and classrooms list
If you have a recommendation for a game to add, please let me know through the TTRPGkids contact form so I can consider adding it to this list or my big game list! I’ll be adding to this list as I come across more games, so stay tuned! For recommendations, I’m looking for games made for groups of 7 or more players and games that are for a whole classroom that are geared at kids or are intended for all-ages as they are currently published.
