A full year after launch DnD Adventure Club is going strong with all new stories, characters, and mechanics! I took a look at The Wilds Trilogy and had a great time with my kid exploring ruins, racing through the woods, and rescuing the lost prince!
Almost Bedtime Theater is a tabletop RPG podcast focused on games for kids! This father and daughter duo covers game reviews, actual plays, advice, and more together to provide a great way for kids to discover and learn about tabletop RPGs and for parents to understand how to run tabletop RPGs for their kids!
I played Starsworn Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 last year with kiddo, and we had a lot of fun together! Now, we’ve tried out Chapter 3, which is an awesome magical school adventure, and had all kinds of fun learning to use our character’s powers (and introducing the Luck of Legends drama clock)!
Color My Quest is a TTRPG designed for kids that focuses on coloring! My kid and I had great time coloring characters, baddies, and the map as we progressed through the fun pre-made story that came with this!
Dino Riderz is another awesome game setting released by Family Fantasy RPG, this one focusing on… dinosaurs! The Family Fantasy RPG system is a tabletop role-playing game designed for all ages, stepping in difficulty depending on your child’s age and including lots of awesome additional activities to complete during these storybook style adventures!
StoryGuider: The Rune Warrior’s Tale is my first collaboration game! I worked with Colin from Family Fantasy RPG to create an origin story for his rune warrior character using the StoryGuider system! We are also donating proceeds from the project to charity, so check it out, have fun, and support some great causes!
I was very fortunate to play a pre-release copy of Adorablins, and had a great time using it to have some super cute, goblin-themed adventures diving through portals and rescuing everything from a cake to a missing cow across distant lands such as Dinosaur Island and New York City!
I had the awesome opportunity to partner with Michael Low from Luck of Legends on a dual article release! We are releasing our articles on each other’s sites to help share our experiences, provide some tips and tricks for playing with different age ranges, and help you bring TTRPG’s to your kids.
As soon as I saw Adorablins, I was excited to try it out and interview the creators. It looks super cute and, it turns out, the original version was played with a 2.5yo in mind, so perfect for introducing to my kid! I had a lot of fun chatting with Tim and Kristin about their experiences, their game, and their advice as both parents and creators!
Inspirisles is a beautifully illustrated game that utilizes sign language as one of the core spell casting components! Since I saw it, I knew I wanted to try it out with my kid, and I was very excited to see him pick Inspirisles up right away (he even asks for it as the sign magic game now). Inspirisles is a truly teaching tool and game, and I hope you give it a try!
