Wed/Thurs Checking Out Trade Days
Thanks to some support from Central Michigan University Press, I’ll be going to Trade Days! On Wednesday and Thursday, I’ll be checking out various panels (with a particular focus on EDU x TTRPGs) and connecting with folks ahead of the weekend convention. I won’t be in any events, but I’ll be taking notes for creating a recap report after the con concludes.
Friday Panel, More Than Alt Text: Designing For Accessibility

On Friday, I’ll be part of a panel on what accessible game design really means, and how it stretches beyond the initial elements we may think of. Each panelist brings their own unique take on how to design for different abilities, age groups, financial states, and more. The team includes:
- Chris Hopper, accessibility consultant
- Sara Nurrenenbern, disability advocate
- George Bergstrom, Regional Coordinator for the Indiana State Library AND President of ALA’s Games and Gaming Roundtable
- Steph Campbell, owner of TTRPGkids
You can sign up for the panel here (as long as you have a GenCon pass)!
Saturday Author Signing @ Indie Press Revolution

Saturday morning, you can catch me at the Indie Press Revolution booth where I’ll be signing copies of Making a Tabletop RPG for YOUR Particular Kid, A Construct’s Nature, and Bakers, Charge! You can buy books through Indie Press Revolution and I’ll be there happy to chat about the different books available, recommend other all-ages friendly TTRPGs at the booth, and write a personal message or dedication, should you so choose.
Sunday Panel, Adventures in Parenting: Raising The Next Generation Of Nerds

On the last day of the con, I’ll be part of a panel on how to parent kids who are into geeky culture! We’ll be covering TTRPGs to video games and comics to cosplay with a group of panelists assembled by Kat the Dungeon Mom!
You can sign up for the event here (and I recommend signing up in advance because, as of July 1, it was more than 80% full)!
And…. if you’d like to catch me between events for an interview, talking shop, or collaboration, please fill out the form here AND send an email to hello@TTRPGkids.com!
I’m looking forward to the con, and happy gaming!!
