TTRPGkids is going to be at ConFusion 2026 in Novi, Michigan from January 30 – February 2! Check out this post for event that I’ll be involved with and details on what ConFusion is and where to sign up.

What is ConFusion?

ConFusion is the longest running sci-fi and fantasy convention in Michigan! It will be celebrating it’s 51st year in 2026, and it hosts a variety of panels, workshops, and creative events for convention goers to enjoy.

ConFusion is named as such because, while it is a sci-fi and fantasy convention, it also includes events that focus on music, art, costuming, tabletop gaming, science, writing, and more in addition to it’s focus on it’s sci-fi and fantasy roots.

This convention also has event tracks and designated rooms for teens and kids so they have a special space and events to participate in too. Unlike many other conventions that I’ve attended, the kid’s room is a supervised location where parents can drop off kids while they attend other events, and the teen room exists as a designated space with designated events and teen-led activities.

TTRPGkids ConFusion Schedule

My schedule for ConFusion is below and includes a variety of panels, workshops, and other events that I’ll be participating in. If you’d like details on the events that are beyond the descriptions below, please register on the ConFusion site or email me via the TTRPGkids contact page.

Friday (all day) schedule

• 3pm: Run a Playtest for Your Game (Panel, multiple presenters)
• 4pm: Self Publishing Games (Worshop/Discussion, one presenter)
• 5pm: Hiring & Managing Teams for Self-Published Works (Panel, multiple presenters)
• 6pm: How to Train Your Gamer (Panel, multiple presenters)

Saturday morning schedule

• 8:30am: Create a Person* (Worshop/Discussion, multiple presenters)
• 10am: Career Prep and Self-Pub 101* (Worshop/Discussion, multiple presenters)
• 11am: Art and AI… Our Thoughts (Panel, multiple presenters)

* Note: Create a Person and Career Prep and Self-Pub 101 will be held in the teen room and are for teens ONLY. Adults are not allowed to attend as this is a designated teens convention space.

Saturday afternoon schedule

• 1pm: Autograph Session (Autographing, multiple authors)
• 5pm: Author Reading (Reading, multiple authors)
• 6pm: Creating Inclusive Spaces in Gaming (Panel, multiple presenters)
• 7pm: Worldbuilding for Fun… And Profit! (Panel, multiple presenters)

Sunday (all day) schedule

• 10am: Telling Stories Through Game Writing (Panel, multiple presenters)
• 12pm: Building a Game Library You Won’t Get Bored With (Panel, multiple presenters)
• 2pm: How Can We Help Each Other Get Through This Timeline (Panel, multiple presenters)
