TTRPGkids on Ludology Podcast Episode 24: Using TTRPGs to teach social studies
In this final episode of the TTRPGkids series on Ludology Podcast, I talk about how you can use tableotp RPGs to teach social studies, particular social studies topics that can be a bit difficult to connect on.
Ludology podcast is a discussion-based show about the hows and whys of tabletop games! They have longer form episodes every other week, and, on one of the off weeks each month, we have the TTRPGkids show. These shorter episodes cover topics that are focused on tabletop RPGs for kids and youth, and I’m excited to share the link to the 24th (and final) episode here!
In this episode, I talk about how you can use TTRPGs to teach social studies lessons, in addition to general advice and formatting for integrating games into classrooms and educational game sessions in a meaningful way (i.e. repeated interation with the material that teaches the content versus just tangentially mentioning it).
