TTRPGkids on Ludology Podcast, Episode 11: TTRPG encounters for young players

In this episode of TTRPGkids on Ludology Podcast, I talk about how to run encounters for younger players AND how to expand your idea of what an encounter could be!

Ludology podcast is a discussion-based show about the hows and whys of tabletop games! They have longer form episodes every other week, and, on one of the off weeks each month, we have the TTRPGkids show! These shorter episodes will cover topics that are focused on tabletop RPGs for kids and youth, and I’m excited to share the link to the eleventh episode here!

In Episode 11, I talk about how to run different types of TTRPG encounters with young players along with how to address some common concerns that facilitators often have with youth-focused encounters. I also talk about how to vary encounters by considering social events, contests, and more as just as exciting as combat so you can switch things up for your players from session to session.

I hope it helps, and happy gaming!
