All aboard the Season and Serve Express! Travel on a magical train where each car is it’s own cooking and dining themed landscape, character, or adventure for you to discover!

The Season and Serve Express is…

An all-age focused cooking and dining themed premade tabletop RPG setting that can be used with any system that you want!  It takes place on a magical train made of a wild variety of train cars that defy time and space!  Make your way from one car to the next to help Gateaux the cake grow to towring heights, reunite Rolly the VERY helpful rolling pin with Julienne the Kitchen Witch, and take on… THE ASPIC.

36. THE ASPIC Description: SQUISH. You look down and see chunks of green gelatin beneath your feet. SQUISH. But that sound came from ahead. SQUISH. You smell citrus, pickle brine, and maybe some cat food. SQUISH. From the darkness emerges… THE ASPIC. Player questions: What horrible mix of stuff is contained in THE ASPIC?

Features of The Season and Serve Express:

Player questions in each train car provide players with prompts to fill in the scene how they want, making this train special to your players, helping them to get invested in each scenario, and encouraging them to think about situations before acting.

Character and item interactions may occur depending on the order that cards are drawn, changing how train cars behave when you replay the adventure.

7. The Small Chef Name: Sauté (he/him) Expertise: sensing by smell and finding morsels Description: A small sentient creature with a penchant for cooking. He’s enthusiastic and friendly. Player question: What kind of creature is Sauté? Wants: to find his friend, Flambé, so they can cook the BEST THING EVER! He’s going to keep an eye out for ingredients they can use!

36 unique train cars full of different NPCs, puzzles, events, encounters, and more give plenty of options for making a magical story.

Multiple ways to play are provided, allowing you to enjoy this game with the print-and-cut train cards, a six-sided die, or a deck of playing cards.

Everything you need to set up your adventure is written out in the Story Guide Table to give a solid framework for your tale but with enough flexibility to work for your chosen system and tailor to your players needs.

System agnostic plots, checks, and encounters are provided so you can use any system that you want!

A complete Story Guide Sheet gives the story guider all the secret info that they need to run each car for their players, making this a great first intro to running a tabletop RPG or a low set up game for experienced story guiders.

28. The Sticky Situation Description: You step onto a very sticky floor and almost can’t get your foot back up! You find yourself in a kitchen covered in what looks like a gooey candy explosion! You see the door on the other side, but… one wrong move and you could be VERY stuck. Player question: What does the candy mess look like?

Red frosting smears down his white shirt as he yells, “AW MAN!” and leaves the battlefield. You have entered the Big Baking Battle, and at least one of you needs to make it out unfrosted. Player question: Where are the cupcake projectiles located?
