A Construct’s Nature

I’ve mostly been working on fulfilling A Construct’s Nature (and associated stretch goals and add-ons), and things are still rolling along! Since last time, I’ve reviewed the proof copy and have made some changes where I needed to adjust the spacing since the book was a bit chonky – the gutter in the center ended up being larger than the margins in the digital file, so some of the words were getting “eaten” in the seams!! I adjusted spacing on every page to account for it, and I made some small nit-picky tweaks on a few other areas as well. The next proof is ordered, and I’m excited to see how it turns out! It should be in by end of May, so still on track for June delivery, as long as it comes back OK.

Aside from this, I also finished layout on all the slides (total after consolidating and editing came out to ~750 slides across 11 chapters) AND went through all the sound clips fro the VA to request final adjustments. Everything is not with our VA and sound editor, Rose Velorum, to make changes to the recordings and splice the SFX into it! Once those are done, I’ll be adding the sound clips to the slides, and adjusting timing on the animations to match… and then that one should be done too!

Up next on ACN is adding alt text to the PDF version and creating a digital classroom guide and trigger warning sheet to be downloaded with the game. Creators Assemble has also choosen the topic they’d like for the EDU game, so I’m just waiting on one of our sponsors to choose the other topic, and those will also be put into the queue!

Critter Mech Squad

Critter Mech Squad is done and the update releases today!!

Due to a proof copy issue, this one took a bit longer than anticipated to finish up, but it’s all set now! The updated version is releasing on itchio today and you can get a printed copy on DriveThruRPG, should you so choose!

Learning With Leaflings

Another new release is Learning With Leaflings, which just came out this past Monday! I worked with a pre-K teacher, Alex G., to help create a TTRPG mechanics system for teaching SEL skills to pre-K kids, and, while it is outfitted for a specific curriculum, we thought it might be helpful for others to use it too. We’ve published it as free/PWYW with any donations to the game supporting sending physical copies of TTRPGkids books to libraries during International Games Month.

Greeting Games

The Greeting Games campaign has passed the lock order date, so I’ve sent contracts out to the stretch goal artists and writer! And the Red Wyrmling was so excited about making some awesome birthday cards, that he’s already submitted a whole bunch of awesome prompts! I’m going to chat with them a bit and see if they’re OK with the community voting on a few favorites and themes to pick the final card once things with ACN settle down a bit.

StoryGuider

My late summer project is StoryGuider, which is a collection of 36 choose-your-path style adventures for little kids! The pre-launch page is up and running, and I’ve had another meeting or two with various folks to go over some campaign tips and pre-launch page ideas.

Right now, this one is a bit in the planning phase still, but I’m excited to jump in once ACN releases… especially since we pre-funded art for another trilogy on itchio!

TTRPGkids: the bit art update bundle!

the goal tracker shows $1003.10 out of $1000 raised!

I’ll be updating the goal to $1.5k to see if we can pre-fund another trilogy before launch, and you can find the pre-funding campaign here on itchio to get a nice bundle of TTRPGkids games on sale!

And I’ll leave this particular update here for now! I plan on posting another update in 2-3 weeks, and I’m excited to share more with you then.

Thank you for checking out this update, and I hope this overview of my work is either a good resource for your own project planning or that it’s a nice “keep-up-to-date” spot for what’s going on with TTRPGkids! And, if you have any feedback about how the dev log is set up, please let me know – I’m new to doing this, so I know it’s going to be a bit of a learning process to fine tune it to what I want to share and what people are looking for, and I appreciate the advice.
